THE SACRED PRACTICE

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Rooted in tradition. Grounded in practice. Designed for modern life.

January 2027 Cohort
Yoga Alliance Approved

Yoga is more than a sequence of postures.

It is a philosophy, a discipline, and a way of living.

The Sacred Practice is a comprehensive 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training designed for those who wish to explore yoga in its fullest expression. Whether your intention is to teach, deepen your personal practice, or immerse yourself in the timeless wisdom of yoga, this training offers an educational and transformational experience that extends far beyond the mat.

At element yoga academy, we believe that the most effective teachers are first dedicated students. For that reason, our training begins not with learning how to teach yoga, but with learning yoga itself.

Together, we explore the history, philosophy, traditions, and practices that have shaped yoga for thousands of years. We study the Yoga Sūtras, the Bhagavad Gītā, the 8 Limbs of Yoga, meditation, breathwork, anatomy, movement, and the practical application of yogic principles in everyday life.

As your understanding deepens, teaching becomes a natural extension of your practice.

This training is designed to help you embody yoga, not simply perform it.

WHY STUDY WITH ELEMENT YOGA ACADEMY

Many teacher trainings focus primarily on certification.

We focus on education.

Our intention is not simply to prepare students to teach classes. Our intention is to help students develop a deep understanding of yoga as a complete system for living.

This means studying where yoga comes from, how it evolved, what its teachings actually say, and how those teachings can be integrated into daily life.

We honor the traditions that shaped yoga while creating space for thoughtful inquiry, modern application, and authentic personal experience.

Some graduates will go on to teach professionally.

Others may never teach a class.

Both paths are equally valuable.

The true purpose of this training is not merely to produce yoga teachers. It is to cultivate informed practitioners, lifelong students, compassionate leaders, and living examples of the practice.
